Enemy surprise is not an option when it comes to maintaining the safety of our port facilities, nuclear power plants, commercial carriers and other vessels and facilities that travel or are located on our nation’s waterways. According to the FBI, the latest fear is that terrorists will attack from underwater.
HAI has developed extremely effective hydroacoustic technologies in the areas of diver interdiction, swimmer neutralization and protection from underwater terrorists.
Our Hydroacoustic Low Frequency (HLF) Sources and Air Gun Systems are designed to produce a continuous or impulse wave, at a non-lethal or lethal signal level. We have developed Air Gun Diver Interdiction Systems (DIS) for the US Navy, Coast Guard, and commercial agencies.
The commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) availability of the HAI DIS enables a total broadband, shallow water diver deterrent system of unparalleled cost effectiveness. There are currently two systems available. The All-In-One System is comprised of a single case with the following integrated components: one air gun, air tanks, umbilical cord and control system panel. The second system is modular, and mainly used for customized applications where the portable All-In-One DIS is not applicable. The modularity of the system allows for a supplied air source, multiple guns, and more diverse installation requirements.
HAI’s Multipulse™ Air Gun Systems transmit multiple shot signatures that are effective in the suppression of reverberation when recognition of a moving target against a cluttered stationary background is required.
